I’m absolutely loving it.
Nike (NKE) takes a PR risk with its VERY public support of Kaepernick… and I applaud it. Brands create loyalty by being part of movements and Nike has been the king of positioning themselves in the middle of cultural debates for years.
The day after Nike’s ad drop (below), the stock dropped 2% on an apparent backlash from investors. Ha. I laugh at the idiots burning their Nike shoes. You can misunderstand protests all you want. Bottom line is that Kaepernick has brought a very big voice by saying nothing at all… and that’s what changes the world.
